The mission of the Benicia Chamber of Commerce "To Promote Business For a Better Benicia" is carried out by Chamber members who volunteer their time in areas that are of importance to them and to the success of their business. Energetic volunteers, with assistance from the Chamber staff, ensure the Benicia Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business in our community. Committee's welcome new members and provide an opportunity for involvement and networking. BIZNET
A business networking committee of the Chamber, this group of highly motivated and committed business people network to increase the success of each members business through education, support, and referrals. Each member represents an exclusive business category within the group. Members provide business updates and share viable leads while providing support and education. BizNet meets every Thursday, 7:30 a.m. at the Chamber office.
AMBASSADORS
Acting as the public relations arm of the Chamber, the Ambassadors serve as the official representatives and greeters for the Chamber. Limited to 30 members, the Ambassadors typically contribute one to three hours a month assisting with various Chamber functions, special events, new member welcomes, community events, in addition to conducting the Chamber's Annual fundraiser. The Ambassadors Committee allows an opportunity to provide numerous volunteer services while at the same time promoting individual businesses. Ambassadors meet the second Tuesday of each month, 8:00 a.m. at the Chamber office.
LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS
The purpose of the Legislative Affairs committee is to be the voice of the business community by studying issues and making recommendations to the Chamber's Board of Directors on local, state, and federal legislative concerns affecting business. Legislative Affairs committee members meet the second Wednesday of each month, 7:30 a.m. at the Chamber office.
BENICIA INDUSTRIAL PARK ASSOCIATION (BIPA)
A division of the Benicia Chamber of Commerce, the Industrial Park Association's mission is to represent the views of business and industry and work towards creating a favorable business environment for industrial companies and property owners within the Benicia Industrial Park. It is BIPA's goal to act as a united voice for its membership on a wide range of issues affecting the Benicia Industrial Park. This will include other beneficial purposes which may from time to time be recommended by the BIPA trustees and approved by the Benicia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. The thirteen member Board of Trustees meet monthly and conduct a minimum of two general membership meetings annually.
